Hailey Conway, CAPS, OTD, OTR, MS
Hi! I am Hailey Conway, co-owner of In Home Preferred. I am originally from Brownstown, Indiana and moved to Indianapolis to attend University of Indianapolis. I received my Bachelors in Psychology while playing volleyball for UIndy and went on to obtain my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2019. While in Occupational Therapy school, I also earned my Masters in Gerontology as I have always had a particular interest in the aging population. Since graduation, I have worked in inpatient rehabilitation settings with the adult population as well as coaching high school volleyball. I recently married my husband, Dalton, and we live in Fountain Square enjoying all that the city has to offer. His involvement in property development and my background in OT sparked my interest in how we can develop more accessible spaces in the Indianapolis area. I am excited for this new adventure as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist and using my OT background in the home modification space! Can’t wait to chat with you.

Hello, My name is Sam Koelmel, co-owner of In Home Preferred. I moved to Indianapolis 10 years ago to attend the University of Indianapolis. At UIndy, I graduated with my Bachelors of Psychology, Masters in Gerontology and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy. Growing up, my uncle with down syndrome lived with my family and unfortunately he developed dementia while I was in middle/high school. While my uncle aged, our family had to modify our home and lifestyle to accommodate his needs, including adding a handicapped accessible bedroom and bathroom. This is where my love for occupational therapy, older adults and accessibility began. Since graduation, I have been working in the skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting. I have a toddler and my husband and I spend most of our free time keeping up with him! I am so eager to begin using my OT background along with my knowledge as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist to help individuals modify their homes to be accessible to all forms of mobility.
